The Cheers Manufacturer Awards are determined by the 40 operator members of the Cheers Editorial Advisory Board, who hail from leading restaurant and hotel companies. These Editorial Advisory Board members nominate manufacturers they believe are delivering outstanding products and service and then vote as a group to determine the winners.
A new voting procedure was employed this year, in which the operator judges cast their votes on five criteria:
· Innovation and creativity
· Understanding of operator needs
· Service levels
· Business-building programs
· Training programs
Operator judges rated each nominee
on a scale of one to five for each criterion and scores were then totaled to
determine the winners.
